oh ya Friday....
I'm lovin' it! Sounds a lot like Piano Red/Doctor Feelgood. Great choice, Sir!
Double thumbs up!!
hello Friday... guitars around the kitchen table tonite... big batch of cabbage rolls and potato salad,, dancing girls....we be havin a jam......
My O my .... that is good!
His smooth, unique technique isn't something that's taught; it's all his original style. Badeye, you've been doing the Friday Blues Fix since September 2009, and you still come up with solid gold entries like this. Much obliged, fellow blue-noser!
The you tube would not come in for me.
Just needs a single space after the "........" and the Internet link. If you highlight, copy, and paste the Internet address into your browser, it'll take you there. Definitely a good listen!
Been snowing here a while.... looks cold out there,,, fire's nice, and got some blues......early blues fix...
good song Bad eye.
Made another Friday,,,,
you can't get that no more, well how are the new strings badeye?
Just what I needed ... thanks. The snowplow just deposited an impassable blockade at the end of my driveway. Guess I'll be missing Saturday morning cartoons to blow snow.
These guys are awesome ... never heard of them before. They sure keep their feet busy through the whole performance. Thanks again, Badeye!
Good morning Friday,,, working lots this week... my Grandma used to get me to sing this song when I was a young kid,,,been a while,,,
Good one Badeye
Only One Satchmo for sure.
Thanks for sharing
Louis' "warm gravel" voice never gets old. One of the highlights we look forward to at Christmas time, is playing his song "Izzat You, Santie Claus?"
Thanks again BadEye!
still Friday right,,, still kicking around,,,
Made it to another Friday,, Good morning Chordie....
I'd never heard of Willie, Badeye, so looked him in Wikipedia. It says he passed away in 1953, which would make this recording very old. Thanks for digging it out for us!
I couldn't get through six years worth of links. And it's a day early, but blues isn't about precision. I hope this isn't a duplicate, but given the tremendous rain storm we had last night and all the snow it helped turn into run-off, the song fits. I'm glad to be a mile off the bank of the river today.
Good morning,,,, missed the fix last nite,,, never too late for the blues...
guitar jam tonite in my big kitchen
Seriously - yesterday I actually looked at the date icon on my computer bc I thought somehow I messed up and it was Thursday - when you didn't have the post. up.
Leadbelly is awesome - what a wild life he had. His Biography is a good read.
His song "Where did you sleep last night?" is one of my favorites - it's actually how I discovered Leadbelly. I thought it was a Kurt Cobain / Nirvana song - but after researching found that they just were covering good ol' Leadbelly.
Thanks for the Blues with Saturday coffee and cartoons !:)
Another great tune, Badeye! I hope you have a blast at your kitchen jam this evening ... those are hard to beat.
