Topic: quick question on tabs

I was looking at the list of chords on here and noticed a number to the left of some of them, what does it mean?

Re: quick question on tabs

Welcome Sakon.  I do believe that number is the fret you start at, but I'm not positive.

Re: quick question on tabs

Hi Sakon and welcome to Chordie,

This is normally the fret on which you play the chord, so A#7, the fourth chord shown in the Resources Chord Chart, http://www.chordie.com/voicings.php?tun … rd=Asharp7 is played on the 3rd fret: XX3334

Roger

Oooops I see Pete beat me to it smile
