Re: Want To Buy: Glass Slide

Thanks, deadstring, but  that sounds kinda risky (especially for a mentally challenged old man like me smile ). Also, it would mean a lot to me if the slide came from one of the guitarists here on Chordie. I just get the feeling that we're all buds after the same thing, and I don't easily join groups.

So I don't mind the cost or the shipping, but I'd really like the slide to come from one of you guys. Doesn't matter how old it is either.

Thanks

Bill

I haven't got a bottle slide, but I'm no stranger to empty bottles...

If I can lay hands on a glass cutter, I'll make you one.  Haven't seen a bottle cutter for years and years, though.

Re: Want To Buy: Glass Slide

I will check with the hubster for ya.  I know he's had a few, and one was a bit too small for him.  We may have n extra here.  I have never tried a slide myself, but I love the sound!

And thanks, Amy.

If he does have one, could you include one of your picks? I only have one other "chick-pick", and that's the one Emmylou gave me. smile

Re: Want To Buy: Glass Slide

smile  Ok Bill, we are a GO!  I'll just need you to click the little email button below my photo and send me your snail mail address.  I'll be shipping out a Choride member used glass slide (watch out for mekidsdad here on Chordie, he's the hubster... occasionally you may even see a post from mekidsson as well... and that'd be my adult child).  Along with your fabulous used glass bottleneck slide will be at least ONE nearly new small pink pick and at least one partially used slightly larger yet slightly thinner pick.  I MIGHT even have an official CHORDIE pick laying around to throw in there as well.  Is there anything else you'd like?  I'm not sure if a homemade chocolate chip cookie will make it, or hand rolled garlic bread.  wink  I'll look for the email.

Re: Want To Buy: Glass Slide

Yes, one other thing, Amy:  I want to PAY for the items and reimburse you for shipping as well, so figure all of that out for me and I will send it to you with PayPal.

I mean it, okay? NO freebies. smile

Thanks VERY much Amy, mekidsdad and mekidsson. This is gonna be great! smile smile smile

Thanks

Re: Want To Buy: Glass Slide

Ok, but you'll have to send me an email with your snail mail address so I can find out how much it'll cost first.  wink  I'm thinking somewhere between $5-$1,000.  tongue

Re: Want To Buy: Glass Slide

Never got it.  sad  I just sent one out to you though, so hopefully that will work!

You can only sing for me if you can hold a tune, or sing exuberantly enough that you're still fun to watch even if you can't hold a tune.  Check your email though, I might take some advise in trade!  smile
