Topic: Want To Buy (Yep, I'm Back)......

....... a used, decent cassette deck.

I know I can get one on EBay or Amazon, but I'd like to give my friends here an opportunity to make a little money if I can and they want to.

This deck would be used to convert about 50 cassettes to MP3's and I also know you can get these little cassette players one hooks up to a usb port and uses Audacity, but having just thrown one of those little buggers away, let me tell ya: these things cost $19.99, but work and sound like crap if they work at all. So, having done this before with a component cassette deck we let someone borrow and they never gave back, the conversion is much better and simpler.

So..... got one at a good price you want to sell me? I'd like to get these cassettes converted before too much more time passes and the tape deteriorates any faster than it already has. smile

Thanks and have a great Sunday, my friends.

Re: Want To Buy (Yep, I'm Back)......

You might not believe this (since we have the whole slide thing already on the table), but I may have something for ya.  My son has my old stereo and was thinking of selling it.  If I remember my teen years correctly, its a whole amplifier with dual cassette decks (and a separate CD unit).  Its from the 90's, but it's got all the inputs/outputs one could want.  Might be overkill for your needs, and a bit bulky though.  There werent any mp3 outs back then, but theres tons of ways this could be done (headphones converted to smaller jack, rca cables, etc). I will talk to him and email you again before I mail the slide.  wink

Amy,

Can you send me a brand and model number? That way I can look at it online and see if it meets my needs?

Did you get the e-mail I sent yesterday?

Thanks!

Bill
