Yesterday I found a brand new Humingbird 899 SI HD on sale for $699.99 so I bought it. This unit regularly sales for $1000.00 so I think it was a good deal. So far I've got my wife beliving I found it on the side of the road as I was walking getting my morning exercise. Now, if I can only get to the mail before she does when the bank statement comes in I'll be ok.

Now I done found another depth finder for my boat. This one is a Humminbird 859ci DI Combo. I'll be able to link both units via an ethernet cable and share all information between them. That'll give me Down imaging, Side imaging, GPS, Maps, Chartplotting and Sonar in the front and back of the boat. Now all I have to do is find me a smart high school student who can teach me how to use them.
In my younger days I phished a lotta tournaments and managed to win some good money. I did spend way more money on phishing stuff than I won. but that's another story. Now. having been away for several years, I'm really looking forward to getting back into the sport. Anybody want to come go phishing with me?

I'd love to go out in the boat phishing with you, hope you can remember to put the drain plug in, I forgot that small detail several times and had to do some quick thinking before the boat sank.
