Topic: Favourite Topping On Toast

Now, I was feeling hungry a little while ago while strumming my tunes, and had to go and make myself "toast topped with bacon and marmalade".
Scrumblidelicious.
It's gotta be tried for all you non veggie chordie's.
Any other ideas for quick toastie snacks out there?
Way off topic I know, but hey it is the chat corner.

toasted sandwiches > regular sandwiches

You have to forget about what other people say; when you're supposed to die, when you're supposed to be lovin'. You have to forget about all these things. You have to go on and be crazy. Craziness is like heaven.

Butter and cinammon sugar.  Used to be just peanut butter, but I found out I'm allergic.

Re: Favourite Topping On Toast

ham. i love ham on my toast.

the answer is blowin' in the wind

Re: Favourite Topping On Toast

Marmite is a dark brown mess in a jar, supposedly a vegetable extract but tastes like the worst medecine you have ever taken. Even the masochists who claim to enjoy it only spread it very thinly on toast or bread.

It should carry a government health warning.

Re: Favourite Topping On Toast

Hey I take bread slices, butter them, add a spoonful or two of beans[out of can] a few slices of peperoni, grated cheddar on top, and pop them in oven at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. The bread gets toasted and are real good. I call them beanzass. Cape Breton Pizza. MMMmmmmm. Then play my guitar.lol. You can be creative, to add what you like.

Both ways are good. But then I'll eat peanut butter with anything.

Hi Alvee.
That sounds revolting! The two together, I mean. But if you like peanut butter, you'll like my husbands favourite :

I'ts called a Gi-Gi Pie or whatever you want to call it!
Take a deep porridge plate, layer slices of bread ( smeared with peanut butter) with a tablespoon of sugar between each slice.
Stack as many layers as you want and douse with coffee ( black or white ).
And eat....As I'm typing this I'm being grossed out!!!
It's great ( apparently ) for when you need energy fast.

My wife has been trying for years to put me off peanut butter. You just succeeded in 10 seconds.

Re: Favourite Topping On Toast

Be glad you just had to read it... it's 10 times more disgusting in real life!
