Topic: LPs

Does any one here know how much LPs should costs in the states? i've seen a good condition White Album for $40, agood condition Neil Diamond Greaest Hits for $7.50, and  a perfect condition America for $2.00 (needles to say i bought it) but what should the running rate be nowadays?

the answer is blowin' in the wind

Re: LPs

What the market will bear.

Some old records are collectibles.   Some aren't.   Mint 1st ed Beatles?  Expect to pay a premium.  America at $2.00?  You're getting robbed!  big_smile

Someday we'll win this thing...

Re: LPs

yeah i like to go to goodwill and dig through the old records. Picked up a merle haggard and the  'shotgun willie' album for 98 cents a piece.
Best place to look is junk and missions stores. Antique places will charge you more than thier worth (Usually) but sometimes you'll find a rare album.

Re: LPs

Yard sales or swapmeets (flea markets to some) is a good place to look. Alot of times people do not know what they are selling. I have 300 albums. When I read the title of your posting originnaly before I opened it up I was thinking lps= Les Pauls. What can I say I am guitar minded.

Bootleger.

Re: LPs

manofgod, are you looking for LP's? I have a lot original vinyl like Stones, Who, Kinks, I even don't know what I have. I took them over when I buyed my house.
CD's those I purchase on amazon.com, preferring the market: sometimes incredible cheap, transport included
