Topic: Civil War

Hi
A sombre number here. Not sure how it will go down.
I have tried to simplify chords progression from the original as the way I play it normally would require Tabs and I’m certainly not going to bored Chordians with that.
Originally wrote about the Bosnia Conflict (remember that one ) a few years back now.
The lyrics I think  could apply to any civil conflict in the world today and the futility of it all.

The Dsus2/F# chord in the third line of the Chorus  is played  2XX23X (ignore the grid)
Moderately slow.

Anyway see what you think.

Regards
Ark

Re: Civil War

Hi Ark,

Great song. The minor key sets the right mood for the sentiment of the song.

I remember the Bosnian conflct very well. My son was serving in the Army there and the vehicle he was in ran over a land mine and he had to drag a wounded comrade out of the damaged and burning vehicle whilst under fire. Luckily they were soon rescued and his friend was not badly injured but it must have been a harrowing time for them all.

Well done and thank you,

Roger

Re: Civil War

Arkady, this is superb - you have taken a complex situation and put into a few very well-chosen words.  James

Re: Civil War

Hi
Daddy thanks for the positive comment.
The Dsus2/F#Chord is quite easy to hit (has to be for me to play smile) The name just makes it sound complicated.

Reb
I appreciate the to the point comment thanks.

Roger
There are so many conflicts in this world and as time moves on we tend to forget the past ones.  I guess that's part of the reason why war continues.
The sacrifices and bavery like that of your son caught up in these conflicts should be remembered.
Thanks

James
Thanks for the nice comment they are always most encouraging.
