to me this is as normal as normal can be.

what a long strange trip it's been

Re: Is it weird to miss your guitar

Zurf, You can put a Baby Taylor in a large briefcase and its light and plays loud, I don't think there's a legitimate excuse now not to take a guitar with you.
You could use it for a paddle if you go to a river camp too.

River camping is all about comfort for me.  First I set up camp, THEN I hit the river.  Saves from soggy sleeping bags and allows for larger coolers.

its normal I have 12 at home in Crete  an I miss them all ,the  4 I have here in the  UK do comfort me  though .

Re: Is it weird to miss your guitar

I wasn't around when Zurf first posed this question. So since it's back up, 8 years later, here's my take on the subject.

Whenever I was going somewhere and I was asked if I was bringing a guitar, my standard response was:

"My guitar is like the American Express Card. Don't leave home without it."

Re: Is it weird to miss your guitar

This is an old thread, but I'll chime in - I travel every other week for work - usually only 2 or 3 nights out of town. I have a guitar by every chair I sit in at home so when the mood strikes me, I can grab it and strum a tune. I miss my guitars every time I am in a hotel room and there isn't one within reach.

Rule No. 1 - If it sounds good - it is good!

Re: Is it weird to miss your guitar

one wife is  enough and  mine is  better  than any  amount of  guitars

Re: Is it weird to miss your guitar

I've been with the same woman since the hot summer of 76. I've had guitars a fair bit longer. When the missus starts to moan about how much time I spend with them i tell her, i still enjoy playing with them in the bedroom, that sort of ends the conversation.
Ps please don't let her know I told you.

Not weird. I miss mine when I'm away. I used to carry it with me all over the world.
