Topic: Hi everybody,I just joined the forum today.

Im looking for the chords and lyrics of a song that I must of heard a thousand times,
but I cant seem to remember the title. It is a rock standard since the sixtys and is still covered by many artists. Sheryll Crow has recently done a TV comercial for a hair product and she walks on stage and starts playing this song.
The words go something like this with heavy accoustic guitar strumming.

Im gonna tell you how its gonna be  // //
Your gonna make sweat love to me  // //
       My love's bigger than a caddilac     // //
       ---   ---- ----- ----   ----- ----- --   // //

Love is love now fade away           // //
Love is love now fade away          // //

If anyone can help me find the chords and lyrics to this it would be great.
   Thanks  much,   Jim.

The song you are looking for is a buddy hollly song but more famous for doing it I thin kis the rolling stones.
It is called "not fade away". Also made famous by the scotch video tapes in the 80's. lol

Hello SS,
Welcome to chordie, here's what you're looking for. Buddy Holly did it originally, then the Rolling Stones, then the Grateful Dead.

The Dead went into "Not Fade Away' after the song I sent you. Good luck, happy jammin'.
