Topic: Just for fun- what was your first chord or song of the new year?

Well, the question's in the title, but I'll expand here. What was the first chord or song you played after the clock struck midnight on the 1st of Jan?

For me the first chord was an E as I checked that the guitar was in tune.

Anybody else?

Hi Shady,

My first chord was a Bm as I was playing Scrimmy's new song "Fallen Angel" from the Songwriting section.

Wasn't that a party, we went to a dance with a live band
and afterward came to my big kitchen for an acoustic jam
with a couple members of the band. The first tune was War
Pigs by Ozzy. We jamed till 5:30 this morning and today was
a rough one, but all worth it. A good way to start the New Year. We had three acoustics going and a blues harp and really didn't want to stop. Here's looking forward to the next jam.

Open C, as that's what I've been studying the last few weeks.

Someday we'll win this thing...

Mine was a D chord. As in:

                D                      G        A
       Should auld acquaintance be forgot

And I printed out the lyrics so everyone could sing instead of just hum. smile

Mine was same as topdown 'cept I did it in G, punked out, sped way up, and streched it out for about 5 1/2 minutes. Had a full dance floor of crazed, drunk, fun seekers, ready to shake a leg.

Give everything but up.
