Topic: Strum patterns!

Hey people!

I have managed to learn quite a few chords and can actually strum a few easy songs. I don't sound "too" bad but i'd probably sound a hell of a lot better if i knew the correct strumming pattern. Over the past year or so while i've been learning i tend to stick with the same boring one. It's not intentional but i  sort of do it automatically and its annoying as hell, not to mention ruin good tunes.

I think this site is ace. I can get any chord for any song, i just wish that the songs came with the correct strumming pattern!

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

John!

I always use this strumming pattern when i make my own chord songs up. It goes,

Down,Down,Up,Up,Down

It sounds good on most chords  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_surprised.gif" border=0 alt="Surprised"> <font face="Arial"></font>

dduud works on time of your life, mr tambourine man and brown eyed girl.

Some of the digital sheet music sites give you suggested strum patterns.
