Hi y'all

Here i am listening to the mighty Foo Fighters but... hankering for the chords or an arrangement for the beautiful lament from Scotland 'The Flowers Of The Forest'

Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the Foo Fighters!

Any pointers would be gratefully received!

The Flowers of the Forest is an old Scottinsh pipe tune.  Back in the 1700's, a woman in Scotland wrote lyrics for the song.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flowers_of_the_Forest

I haven't been able to find chords for it, but I came up with some...

or along those lines.

I guess I could try posting it...

Steeleye Span did the version that I know as far as the music.

I forgot, I actually capo it so it's in the key of A, as that is what the pipes are in, from what I understand...

I heard two versions, one in Eb and another in D.

A capo on your first fret will put you in Eb where you can use "D" chord changes. I hear four chords, D, G, A and the occasional C.
Such a beautiful lament.

Also the same thing that came to my mind when I listened to some versions of this song. Try to play it in Key of 'D'.
