Hi Headcase,

On thinking about this I believe that it is the speed and amount of memory that your PC has that controls how much definition you can have in a video. I think you best answer will be from JamPlay themselves, I would suggest that you write to them and explain your concern and also ask them what are the minimum requirements your PC needs to play the videos at high definition.

Headcase, what kind of ISP do you have? This often limits your capabilities w/ audio/video files. Your computer's memory could, as said previously, be affecting your experience, also.
As for JamPlay, I've just picked up the guitar again after a 35 yr layoff. I like the lessons (I'm taking them so I don't fall back into some bad habits I had when I played in my teens and 20's......guitar habits, not the other kind). They take you smoothly from one skill to the next, building on the previous lessons w/ good exercises to develop your skills.
Don't be afraid to click 'STOP' and practice the chord changes, pick patterns...whatever....before continuing. These lessons aren't timed and you can move at your own pace.

Re: Please comment

JamPlay.com is by far the coolest way to learn guitar I've ever found. I started playing when I was 11 years old, and if JamPlay existed back then, I would have begged my Mom & Dad to let me join. The community, the tools, the high-quality video lessons, the price; it's just incredible...
