I thought I'd share this with those who may find it interesting. I was recently given my late Grandfather's banjo ukulele or banlolele. My cousin had it sitting in it's case, hidden away and thought I may as well have it since she wouldn't play it.
I don't know much about them. I have a uke myself but this banjo version is a 1st for me.
I made a short video showing the instrument off; maybe some of you guys and gals would like to see this little beauty. I hope you can understand the Scottish accent...

Thanks guys. I know what you mean, tandm3, it has a real hand made feel to it. I can't believe how good it sounded without even changing the strings. I've no idea when it was last played. It's the bridge that amazes me. It's just a piece of shaped wood that is inserted between the strings and the body and can obviously be moved about. Is this common? I'm guessing the MEEAAOOOOOOWWWW that's written on the body is to indicate where the bridge should be placed. Of course I only discovered this after moving it around to get the intonation sounding ok. Loving it!
