Jerome, Pete and Dino, just so you can't have this outstanding thread all to yourselves, I thought I better jump in. (wink)
You fellers are discussing a topic I have a great interest in and the info here is invaluable. I have just started the journey with recording that you guys are already miles down the road on so be prepared for a barrage of questions soon from me.
Pete and Dino, stick with it.
Jerome, you are a champ.

Bring it on Bushy. I am at the very beginning of this journey also, but the train is moving fast. I'm already to jump from one mic to two mics and a mixer, all in a short time. Jerome has a lot of helpful answers, although sometimes confusing for a novice like me, but he gets the point across. There is a lot to learn. As I stated before, I am in this purely for the fun of it.

The best way to make a million dollars in music is to start with two million dollars. ![]()
I'm fortunate in that I have access to two things 1) Gear, so I can experiment and screw stuff up all by myself, and 2) Actual sound engineers that know what they're doing and I can bug for information. Nothing beats sitting in a control room for a few hours watching professionals do their thing. If you can get 'em to talk about it, it's even better.

I think I can speak for everyone here. When we become famous, Jerome can be our manager. You might have to start with 3 million.

Pete, us old fellers better get a move on if we are ever going to be famous playing music. I have made a start by having my own groupie living at home with me, does that count?
