Topic: RCA to USB any advantage ?

I use a line out RCA to a line in RCA on my PC is there any thing to be gained by getting an adapter to go USB in.
Got an old Tascam 4 track as an interface for guitars, keyboard and mic. The rest is done in a midi...
Thanks

Re: RCA to USB any advantage ?

From a technology standpoint, using a USB adapter with what you already have wouldn't make any difference, because it's still using the RCA technology.  Of course, this is purely an opinion based on computers... not actual trial wink

Re: RCA to USB any advantage ?

There was a great post by someone here recently on why you want to keep the number of analog to digital conversions to a minimum.   You lose data every time you do it.
