getting songs as .txt files

Is there a way to get chordie songs as .txt files?  I want to download a batch and put them on my ipad.  With the app I'm using now, I have to do everything one by one, very slow, no backup.

Re: getting songs as .txt files

Chordie songs are in ChoPro so that they appear like this:

Mary Had A Little Lamb

Nursery Rhyme

[G]Mary had a [C]little lamb,
She [G]also had a [D]bear,
I have [G]often seen her [C]little lamb,
But I have [G]never [D]seen her [G]bear.

C D G
If you click on the 'chopro' tag at the side of the song it will remove the formatting and can be transferred as a 'txt but it will look like this:

{t:Mary Had A Little Lamb}
{st:Nursery Rhyme}

[G]Mary had a [C]little lamb,
She [G]also had a [D]bear,
I have [G]often seen her [C]little lamb,
But I have [G]never [D]seen her [G]bear.

But they can only be done individually, I'm afraid.

Re: getting songs as .txt files

Thank you SO much.  This is exactly what I wanted.  I've been editing the text versions of these songs on my ipad, which is slow going when you're trying to insert an additional chord, strip out a riff you don't like, etc.  This will be absolutely perfect.

Re: getting songs as .txt files

We are creating a large library of chordie song files. I have some questions:

1: We want to save in .txt format. Is this OK?
2: In the upload URL page, should we link the entire web site or by each individual title?

Thanks, Jackson.

Hi Dino.

First Question is Ok - answered. I want to set up a web site where we can have the files easily downloaded by users.
