Topic: Maton guitars

I am new to Chordie and this is my first attempt at using your Forum.

I have been playing guitar for many years and have now decided to upgrade my old Yamaha FG-411E acoustic electric guitar. In my search I have played a number of instruments and the Maton CW80C acoustic electric seems to be leading the field. It has the sound I want, un-amped, and when amped up does not lose any tone or response.

I would appreciate any feedback regarding Maton guitars and especially this model.

Re: Maton guitars

i dunno about a Maton acoustic electric i've never really heard that much about them but i own a Schecter Acoustic/Electric and it meets the qualifications that u listed i've had it for about 3 yrs and am completley happy with it, it sounds beautiful in and out of an amp.

Re: Maton guitars

I have a couple of Maton Acoustic/Electrics. One is old (1967 MODEL 010) and dead.

The other is about 10 years old and wonderful (TE with an upgraded pickup to the AP5 - this was a big improvement)

Contact the folks at Maton in Melbourne. They are very friendly and helpful.

Hope this helps.
