Pete Seeger's Birthday

Yesterday was Pete Seeger's birthday. He's now 93 years old. I listened to his kid's songs when I was little. He's one of my dad's heroes and has been honored as an American Master. Looks like he got himself in some politacal trouble in the video,but who cares he gave us alot of music that will live on.

Pete Seeger kept folk musice alive during the McCarthy communist witch hunts of the 1950's, by playing to classrooms, when he couldn't get commercial gigs due to the blacklist. He is the godfather of the folk movement in the late 50's and throught the 60's, still influencing artists.
Happy Birthday, Pete. Keep telling it like it is.
