Topic: Easter poem

Today I'm feeling queezy
Snotty and quite sneezy
I think the winter weather might have passed
even though its brighter
me lungs are feeling tighter
Hayfever has just bit me on the ass

Happy Easter to all you Easter chicks and bunnies out there ,

Re: Easter poem

And a happy Easter to you and all our chordie friends. smile

Re: Easter poem

Grah1 ... that's a good one; thanks for the chuckle. Reminds me of "Afternoons & Coffeespoons" by the Crash test Dummies:

"What is it that makes me just a little bit queasy?
There's a breeze that makes my breathing not so easy
I've had my lungs checked out with X rays
I've smelled the hospital hallways

Refrain:
"Someday I'll have a disappearing hairline
Someday I'll wear pyjamas in the daytime
Oh, oh, oh - oh -oh, afternoons
Will be measured out, measured out, measured with
Coffeespoons ... and T.S. Eliot

"Times when the day is like a play by Sartre
When it seems a bookburning's in perfect order
I gave the doctor my description
I've tried to stick to my prescription

"Maybe if I could do a play-by-playback
I could change the test results that I will get back
I've watched the summer evenings pass by
I've heard the rattle in my bronchi...

Hope the airways clear out.

Re: Easter poem

Welcome aboard Guillermo, pleased to see you're posting.  Feel free to wander down to the Chat Corner and introduce yourself to the group.

Also Grah1, good little chunk of prose..... meaningful I'm sure to all of our allergy sufferers out in Chordieland..... If you hear knocking, it's not the door, just my desk getting a couple of taps as so far I have managed to "dodge that bullet".  But living where I do it's just a matter of time.

Take Care;
Doug
