Just  checked the  dictionary  it  means  preference , I  hadn't  heard  the  word  before .Now I  fully  understand ,nice song  Jeff I   like  the content  a  lot .

I  really  like  the  progression   from B this  works  well but  I keep wanting  to add  a  D in this  next  bit  and  so on

but  then  this  last line  would need  to  finish on B before returning  to the  B progression

Thanks Graham. Actually I kind of played around with the second set of chords and finally settled on the E A B and E A D just lately. I'll get it up on soundcloud soon, but it it fairly easy to play sliding up from B to A. Only tricky part is going to the D from the Bb, but that is my favorite sounding part of the song really.

Druthers is a word I remember from my past that just makes me think about the mountains, different times, slower pace, and a simpler lifestyle...another reason I tried to keep the chords kind of bluesy and reflective if you know what I mean.

This one brought me back many years to the mountains of western North Carolina. Had a lot of good times in those mountains. And I had a good time listening to your song too Jeff. Great job man!
