Topic: My 10 year old boy performs U2 song on Ukulele at talent show!

Allow me to be a proud Dad here please:
U2's latest theme is Innocence + Experience and we recently gave our Innocent
10 year old boy the Experience of his first rock concert... a U2 concert... what
happened next exemplifies Innocence and Experience! Our son was so inspired
by that experience and the music he looked up Ukulele chords for this U2 song and
learned it then he auditioned for his school talent show and made the cut as the
encore performer.... first ever time performing music on stage for an audience!

I was careful not to put him on any of my own YouTube music channels. This
is a non music channel of mine I use for miscellaneous stuff. If you feel like
liking and commenting on YouTube it sure would mean a lot to him.

That was incredible !   He did a great job. If you get the crowd at a 4th grade talent show clapping along - you have done something special.  Very nice voice, terriffic playing.  He definitely is gonna join Dad in the band !:)

Excellent and inspiring, yes, you can be a proud parent. I've never played a uke, but that may change.

Live in the "now" - a contentment of the moment - the past is gone - the future doesn't exist - all we ever really have is now and it's always "now".

You post made me sad and happy...

Sad because it reminded me that I missed seeing U2, happy because your boy did a dynamite job on the song - he actually got the kids to quiet down - and then clap along!

No small feat getting an audience of kids to simmer down and pay attention...
