I haven't tried the GS mini - but I did try the big baby Taylor.  Honestly, it played and sounded great.  I ALMOST passed up my Martin for it in fact. I didn't just because I was looking for a solid wood guitar, and for other reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with the Taylor.  There are a lot of places that will order the guitar for you and allow a 30-90 day return window.  If you've got the cash ready to buy, it might not be a bad idea!  There's not too many places that keep a good selection of lefties in stock (from experience as a right handed player, I can't say I've ever "accidentally" picked up a leftie in a shop).  Good luck!
