I dunno - I think perhaps this song is incongruous with the ukulele.

IMO, the uke sounds far too "happy" for a lyric such as this, d'ya get what I mean? Maybe if the tempo were slower, or the strumming was a different pattern or summat.

Can you do it on guitar? I quite like the lyrics, and would like to hear it on a 6- (or even a 12-) string...

I think you are right, It's a bit fast and the uke is not the best choice for playing it on, but it's the only thing I know how to play.
