Topic: DUDES in WHITE SATIN

I know, "Yuck!" right?

During the 70's many perfromers thought that dressing in tight, white satin pants was fashionable. The BeeGees did it, and many others. For whatever reason, it prompted these revised lyrics to the tune of "Knights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues.

DUDES in WHITE SATIN

Dudes in white satin, a seventies trend,
Eyes are averted, from buddy's rear end.

Why would they do that? What purposed was served?
The sight was revolting, and had me unnerved.

CHORUS:    Say it can't be …
        Oh-oh-oh say it can't be.

Too tight for comfort, too much to behold,
Too little unseen, too gross to be told.

Those days are over, don't see it no more,
Couldn't be happier, it's finally o'er.

CHORUS:    Say it can't be …
        Oh-oh-oh say it can't be.

I had originally titled this "Dudes in White Wedgies" but that's just too disgusting.

Re: DUDES in WHITE SATIN

Ha!  Nicely.

We can beat them just for one day
We can be heroes just for one day

RIP Bowie

The lyrics remind me of an old 60s comedy band. The Baron Knights

Thick as two short planks

Re: DUDES in WHITE SATIN

Sends a shudder through my spine, remembering bands like The Sweet and Gary Glitter. What were we thinking back then? smile

I agree with Beestie - WTF  were we thinking ?  No wonder some one came up with LSD ! smile

Your vision is not limited by what your eye can see, but what your mind can imagine.
Make your life count, and the world will be a better place because you tried.

i think LSD came first?

i never wore satin but my flares were quite revealing, but i still managed 4 kids. and i needed them tight when i performed this song, still do sometimes.

great pastiche jim, you have a wicked mind, reminds me of someone....me?

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

I just read the "pitch" for the one-piece suit you posted, and I don't think I've seen anything more revolting ... way too much imagery!

Re: DUDES in WHITE SATIN

Very good. I steered clear of the satin Huggins and went for the mod look for awhile. Then on to hippy land.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.
