Topic: More Musical Vocabulary

Does this have a name, everyone?

When you rhyme a word (let's take rhyme and time) with another that sounds the same, then that's a definite rhyme, right?

What's it called when you do an oblique rhyme such as "tame" with "pain"?

Thanks,

Bill (who is typing in the dark in an attempt not to wake Dondra, who came in from work at 1:30 am as stiff and as sore as she could be.)

Re: More Musical Vocabulary

humph... I have a little book here the hubster bought for me that is a songwriters rhyming dictionary of sorts. I think it includes those half rhymes in it.  I say, if it works... it works!  But then, I don't write too many.  LOL!
