Arkady is a great composer and musician for sure, and I am fortunate to be able to listen to his work.

Yeah, that pretty much describes me, TF. I tend to look for the absurd, even though I am the butt of my own jokes much of the time. I've always liked T-Bone Burnett. Most folks don't know that he researched and gathered the music for the Coen Brothers film, "O Brother Where Art Thou". He's kinda hard to pigeonhole, which adds to his appeal.

Glad you liked "Frank Cash"...... I'd been looking for that one for quite a while.

Fantastic!

I think Alvin and Ritchie Blackmore must have had the same guitar teacher. Their styles are so similar, coupling amazing speed with complete command of the whole fretboard. First time I saw him was in the film of Woodstock, when "Ten Years After" performed there.

First class choice, Bill ... many thanks! I had their first CD "Neck and Neck" (1990) when it came out, and played it to death. On one of the tracks, Mark & Chet are trading licks and chatting, and Chet makes this comment:

"You're pretty good, but you're no Mark Knopfler."

Excellent find ... didn't know they'd done this live.

It's Bill on the mobile. Just a quick note to say I love y'all and haven't forgotten my friends and hope you have not forgotten us. We are currently undergoing a two week cardiac rehab program in a  great hospital about 20 miles from our house. Dondra is getting all kinds of attention from the staff and doctors here. 

Goo d thiing is that this is a pilot program and it isn't costing us anything!!!:).

Glad to hear you've found some extra care for Dondra without having to "sell the farm"!  smile  I think about you two all the time!  I honestly haven't had a lot of time to even PICK up my guitar lately, so I don't have anything new for ya.  Here's an oldie for you, in my early days of playing - with my first guitar (5 years ago):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojAQWnFYS5o  - Funny story about this is, I mess around with this song all the time, have been asked to play it multiple times by Chordians at gatherings, and have NEVER been happy with any version I've managed to come up with.  This recording is the only time I've ever done the song in front of anyone.  Ever.  (yeah, yeah, no one was actually there in front of me, but it's on the YT).  I've never played it "live" at any gathering.  wink
