Topic: Strap for 1/4" cable plug/strap button on Acoustic/Electric?

I purchased a 12 string acoustic/electric equipped with a 1/4 cable plug on the tail that is supposed to double as the rear strap button. I found that  the punched hole on a normal strap end is too small to roll onto the button. Does anyone make a special shoulder strap that will slipper over the enlarged button? Any answers out there?

I come across this regularly but I have a leather hole punch and I nibble at the edges to ease the hole gently, until it is a nice snug fit.

I had the same problem with my Takamine, which is equipped the same way. I used a round file (which I use to sharpen my chainsaw) to ream the hole out a bit bigger. CAUTION: I overdid it a bit, and once it stretched out, I now need a strap lock on there to keep it in place. sad

I open them up by using needle nosed pliers backward. I put the pliers in and streeeeeeeetch.

Welcome to Chordie Keven,  all good ideas here but, i solved my problem with a fishman pickup that has a large diameter strap button over the pickup hole by using a product by    strapkeeper.com   cost about  10.00  and easy to use.  This Co has good products. I am in no way affiliated, just a tip and product i discovered on line.   Latter all     b

I use a knife to cut the slit at the top a little higher.  It doesn't work great, but it works.
