Great horns in the Van Morrison link. Really enjoyed listening to this one.

Good one Badeye - enjoyed  the song

Bill - Van the Man - he is one of my favorites.  I couldn't find it - but if I could - I would've linked to the song " wavelength"  by Morrison.  best listened too with headphones, and abit of wine or hemp. smile

Re: friday's blues fix

Another beauty, Badeye ... many thanks. Your knowledge of lesser-known classic blues players is astounding, and I wouldn't have known most of these people existed if not for your thread. Much obliged to ya!

A TRIPLE Play.

Mr. Musselwhite was in great demand during the STAX years (think Otis Redding, Booker T. And The MG's, Sam And Dave, etc..... On this Trifecta, badeye  shows us  that Charlie Musselwhite doesn't like to waste time! smile

Great harp. Thanks Mr. badeye!

Badeye I I love that Joe Turner sound the sort of music I grew up with. I wish I could sing and play like them. Down here in New Zealand it is now our summer but someone forgot to turn of the rain this Saturday morning.

Re: friday's blues fix

Big Joe Turner! Love it, badeye. We keep forgetting artists such as he and "Dr. Feelgood"  (Piano Red), who instead of the guitar decided on the 88's to play their style of blues!

Speaking of Big Joe, may I add a tribute to him, played by Wynton Marsalis (yes, that Marsalis) and Eric Clapton?

Here's "Joe Turner's Blues" (another one I got cheaply on Amazon -- It's called "Marsalis and Clapton Play The Blues".....

Re: friday's blues fix

That is great guitar playing.
So simple, yet so complex.
Love the 12-string sound.

Thanks for sharing Badeye - on this lousy snow stormy day.
Good day to sit inside and play and maybe write a song.

Thanks for sharing

Jim

Merry Christmas to you & yours, Badeye!

And many, many thanks for your steadfast weekly contributions in the Blues and C&W threads. In particular, your "Friday's Blues Fix" has introduced me to dozens of classic blues artists I would never have heard of .... and it's all stellar stuff. Thanks, and best wishes!
