Topic: To Our Beloved CHORDIE Family

As we approach the  Christmas Holiday, Dondra and I  would like ALL of you to know how dearly we hold you in our hearts. You have been there for us EVERY DAY of the year and have ridden out the tough times with the both of us with your words of love, caring and kindness.

While we have nothing but profound thanks in  return, within them is a happiness that no matter to what religion you may belong not one of you has forgotten any and all proverbs dealing with  kindness and help for those less fortunate than you, and that makes us both proud and loved.

Thank you, dear family and we wish all of you Merry Holdays and a safe, healthy and successful 2018.

Whenever I get emotional, instead of "crying" I like to say "I'm raining" wink, and let me tell y'all, it's a "monsoon of happiness" in my little studio right now.

We send our love

Strummerboy Bill ....  I  think there is song waiting to be written in that message of yours up there.    "Whenever I get emotional, instead of "crying" I like to say "I'm raining" "and let me tell y'all, it's a "monsoon of happiness" in my little studio right now."  smile
Anyway, Chordie wouldn`t be the same without you and hearing about your lovely Dondra.  All the very best for Christmas , the New Year and may 2018 be a GOOD year for you both.  Blessings to you both smile  http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_1791.gif

Re: To Our Beloved CHORDIE Family

Bill, Dondra. We have never met but I know you are wonderful people. I sincerely hope that the new year will bring all the good things you both deserve. I think you've had your share of detritus fall on you this year, so let's hope that 2018 sees the happiness and gladdest tidings of this world surround you . To me it means I wish you all the luck and good things in the world.

Love from Phill and Ann

Merry Christmas

Re: To Our Beloved CHORDIE Family

Thanks Bill, and Merry Christmas from the Willis household to you and Dondra.  I hope 2018 blesses you with better health and much happiness.

Phill, I know you meant well, but the bird of paradise flying up your nose is actually a curse.  The song was written by Neil Merritt and recorded by Little Jimmy Dickens. As I recall, the chorus of the song was :

"May the bird of paradise fly up your nose"
"May an elephant caress you with his toes"
"May your wife be plagued with runners in her hose"
"May the bird of paradise fly up your nose"

But of course I may have misunderstood and you meant it like the phrase "break a leg" which sounds bad is meant to be good luck.  In any case I know we all wish the best for Bill and Dondra.

Thanks and God Bless!

Re: To Our Beloved CHORDIE Family

my apologies to Bill and Dondra, I never meant that line as a curse and it's the only part of the song I remember. thanks to Ed for putting me straight on that one. I shall go and change it now.

Re: To Our Beloved CHORDIE Family

All is well, Phill! Even with the little faux pas I laughed out loud while thinking to myself, "Yup, just what I need: a paradisial bird up my nose!" smile Neither of us laugh too much these days so it was just what I needed. smile

Re: To Our Beloved CHORDIE Family

Hello Bill, once again Merry Christmas , I can't play piano and guitar that well now days due to me now having limited movement in my arms and hands. I put this little video together for you. It is trecorded on my cheap laptop so it is a bit patchy in sound. Most probably a good thing as it covers over my not so good vocals and playing. Here made for you and my chordie friends my song  I Wish I Could Play Real Fast.
