Looks cool. I'm still trying to wrap my head around five strings. I'd be completely lost on a 7 string.

Neck thru construction usually gives a lot more sustain. Some cheaper brands don't have a truss rod in the neck ... I would imagine your's does, but I can't tell from the photo. With all of that tension on the neck, it would certainly be handy if you changed string gauges and it needed a setup.

I got it a couple of weeks ago, but now my job has gone, it may need to be sold to get some money 
I have an older 4 string Ibanez TR series bass. I love it . It has the nicest neck on a bass I've ever played. I use it mostly for recording. I'll never get rid of it.
