What are you looking at!

Usually I gravitate onto the forum when I've just finished checking out a song from the BIG CHORDIE LIST or practicing one from my songbook.

So my question is - what song were you just working on?

Just out of interest.

Re: What are you looking at!

I was working on "The Country Life" that our esteemed moderator published over in the Songwriting forum.  The Em is giving me fits.  I don't want to sing an Em there.  I think I'll change that for when I do it.  But shhhhhhh.  Don't tell John.

Tried the "Never Cared for Hippies" too.  Great song.  It sounds good with all laid back strumming and a folksy, sort of Arlo Guthrie delivery.  What a great job he did putting that song together.

If I were the jealous type, I'd be jealous of their talent.  But ever since I've figured out that God makes some folks one way and some folks another for whatever His purposes are I've not felt the need to be jealous.  So instead I'll celebrate their talent by playing their songs!

Re: What are you looking at!

I was actually just working on my own song that I have just posted in the songwriters section , I named it " dog walkers, joggers, tramps and drunks."
After walking in Balloch park last night for my wife's " family after dinner walk " that she has decided is a good thing to do. I saw how full it was wit hdog walkers and joggers. Then I thought about Dalmuir park where I used to live and how it was full of wee neds drinking and old tramps wondering about at night.
So I combined the two parks together and wrote a song.

Re: What are you looking at!

I am working on a song that I have been working on and off for 100 years !  Well 2 years anyway.  Each day I change it.  I figure it will be finished in about 2017.  It's about Love !  I have never written about love before, so wish me luck and I will post it in 2017!

Hey Ken as long as you walk and not jog, if you jog the ice could fall out of your drink! Something to remember as the result could be dramatic....

Re: What are you looking at!

Hi Jerome.Oneill,
Just reading the thread here!

This ones about all Womens Bottoms! Never did put a melody to it!

Peachy Bums.

Women’s shapes are gorgeous
Much more attractive then the males
What God designed is so refined
Alluring to most men.

There rear ends
Can be round or flat
And some they do protrude,
Muscular, lean or toned
Look good even in the nude
.
Some men just like to drop
There hands on the Gluteus Maximus
To rest it there without a care
Oblivious to us.

Some bums can look quite peachy,
Smooth, refined and tanned
No acne here for us to clear
Like most average man.

In satin or lace it moves with grace
, and just can do no wrong
Trouble starts with male counterparts
When we decorate it with a tong

Our glutes are cute and sexy
They got rhythm and a Style
They can lunge or sit squat or stand
Or wiggle to the Maestros Hand

So I’m glad that I’m a Woman
Cos a ladies bums 1st Class
But lord how cruel were you to
Give Some Men “A Builders Ass.†

Old Doll.

Re: What are you looking at!

Very nice!   I like "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen.  One of my all time favorites.

Here's a verse from my new epic.

I'm bending over backwards and I'm jumpin' through hoops
Just to see you shimmy in that skirt and those boots
I'd crawl over glass on my hands and my knees
I need it so bad that I'm willing to bleed!
