This is a fictional song played fast, in a southern Rock and Roll style.About the place where this young man came of age.Lots of good ole boy lead in the breaks,four part harmony on the "Blacktree Road" with a hopping piano to boot. I had some fun writing this as it is way off my normal style of writing. Enjoy

On Blacktree [A]Road I fought and took a stance.

On Blacktree [D]Road I burned but I took a chance the [E]same.

I wouldn't [A]trade a million dollars for the backseats and the hollers.

Love it!

I hearing this one being howled out in a shacked-out old honkey tonk. There's a fight out in the parking lot and the sheriff's taking his time getting there because it's just easier to let 'em all have at it and get hurt than to arrive in the middle of the brawl.

i like songs with characters you can identify, we all know a billy "good at drinking, but not at thinking" in fact i know a few...i'm no good at either, but i do know i like this song

Hello Kap!
I was breezing thru the songs on here and came across yours. Love it!! I think the essence of songwriting is to be able to envoke a feeling or create a mental picture of what the writer was seeing or feeling. I definitely had both of those from this. I love songs like this that just make you smile. Good Job. Is it somewhere we can hear it??

Another great song. Please don't be offended when i say your great song
reminded me of this one, a great favourite of mine. I know some writers are offended by this!
I read, and I hear you song with this kind of sound. Believe me i mean this as the utmost compliment.

There has to be another avenue to get all this great stuff on here listened to by a bigger audience.

I have a friend with a pirate radio station, Ill see him next weekend. Im gonna have a long ole talk with him.

Believe me when I say nothing you can put down in words can offend me.If anything I am flattered that my little tune reminds you of Copperhead Road.
Presently in a bit of a rut trying to wrap my head around the hole I dug myself as starting over seems to be a reoccurring theme in my life.Hopefully starting over with my Chordie friends in my corner will be a boost for moral and writing
