Just a hi, stumbled accross this site while searching for a tab, Which i found and was very happy i found it , the only prob is it uses f, the bain of my life, tho nearly cracked it. from reading the forums im not looking forward to 'b' . At first glance this looks a great site, I have been trying to teach myself for about 4 years, tho have accumilated some dust in that time but really want to get on with now, i started with a fender semi acoustic but the neck felt a tad to narrow for me fat fingers. Im bashing an IBaNEZ iNTERCITY TALMEX seems ok, tho im no expert. It sounds ok to me. polite opinions welcome, ff

Re: Hi

HI fatfingers

Welcome to chordie and keep practicing the F chord.

I think if ye can do C then a bit more patience and practice and ye will manage F.

I have big thick fingers, though not fat they are still thick and dumpy.

If you dont like certain chords you can use the "transopse" opion to the right of the song you are viewing. It might mean you cannot sing the song though and might not be able to play along with the song. But then, it might make it better so you can sing along easier.

give that a go and let us know

hope this is of some help to you

Re: Hi

Don't you find that your uke goes out of tune at such extremes of hight and temperature?

I also love hillwalking, though I don't get the chance much. 1 or 2 a year seems to be the norm at present.

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Re: Hi

ah the normal view from the top of a scottish mountain, lol.

I have never been up that one although I have visited gorton bothy a few times, thats the nearest bothy i think. 1 or 2 is not enough Al. 4 at least and a visit or 5 to a bothy with yer instrument is the minimum per year for me .

well, as usual, never went all the way up to the top of ben lomond, moaning kids!!!! too steep, sore legs, can we rest can we rest, nearly there? etc etc ,lol.

I should try smaller ones for their small wee legs,
