Hi Zen,

I have moved your post to a more appropriate place.

I remember your earlier post about this and I am sorry to hear it has not been resolved. Please write to Per at admin@chordie.com and give him details your experience with this organisation.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I actually did receive his killer lead guitar made simple and it's just that "simple". He's just sitting down, not even approprietley dressed It feels like he's making everything up on the spot and nothing that he promised is even on this piece of crap. He makes it sound so excting that you can't wait to start learning. After everything he, tells you, that you can learn to play guitar by going on the internet. Duh I knew that much 2 weeks in after buying my guitar. I'm sending his video back to get a refund Claude is a fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I never did get an approval from you Zen to resend your mail to Johnson. However if what Riverdales are telling is true, it is no chance that they ever will advertise on Chordie again. I have not tried the course myself. However I know that the JamPlay course advertised on the front page is excellent value.

Any other experiences with the Claude Johnson course?

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

Hi, Claude Johnson here.

Sorry if a few of you had negative experiences with my courses... Most of the thousands of
people who have bought from me have a positive reaction.

If you didn't love my course, that's no problem , we'll be happy to refund your money.
I've always given a refund to anyone who's asked.  No hassles, no problems.

I don't know what email you used, and I'm really sorry you couldnt reach us, but our correct email is admin@guitarcontrol.com and we'll be happy to address your concerns.
We also have a customer support #(610)-879-7433 , and live chat during business hours

As far as "Killer Lead Guitar Made Simple" being "simple", well thats kind of the idea... Killer Lead Guitar Made Simple is
designed for someone who's never played lead guitar before and wants to learn.   If KLGMS is too basic for you,
we have other courses of instruction at every level.
Claude

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

Sucks about your bad experience, but you can get a refund(buuttt!!!!). It took me two months of hassleing and calling and leaving messages then when I would finally recieve a phone call back they always misplaced my information so I had to regive my information I would say a total of 4 times. What if I hadn't been persistent, they would have lost my information and here I'd be 6 months later and no refund!!! If you do try and get your refund back be prepaired to be PERSISTENT. Also they don't email you back, they call you whenever they want. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I too think that CLAUD IS A FRAUD!
I was suckered in to buying Acoustic Mastery. The advertising was so slick and now that I think about it it sounded too good to be true.
I received the 3 DVD's as promised in about 3 weeks time. However, trying to get the bonus materials that were to accompany the DVD's has proven to be a waste of time and effort.
They sent an email with URL that was supposed to direct me to a site where I could retrieve the bonuses. However, the URL didn't work and the page could not be found. After about 6 emails to 'admin@guitarcontrol.com' to inquire how to get my bonuses I have not recieved a response. The only response I could get was from the shipping company that sent the DVD's which is a totally separate company. I've given up. Claude you are joke! I'm off to report you to my Visa card provider. I'm sure they will spread the news of your BS!
For nearly $100 Cdn, you should be damned ashamed of your service. Get a life dude! If lived closer to wherever the heck you are I'd be knocking on your door and not in a good mood.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I actually was not cheated.... i ordered the dvds a few weeks ago, they came in within a week and i really learned a lot. i've gone from a so-so guitarist to a pretty good one in a week and i think claude did a great job with these. i know i seem to be in the minority, here, but i really think he came out with a great product and it really sucks that you guys didn't get the chance to try it.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

Hi all. I bought one of his courses a few months back, and it didn't do much for me. I agree that Claude's stuff is very amateurish, and not put together with any professional production. But I'd give him a break. Seems like he's trying to do a good job but doesn't really have the $$ or people to put it together well. My impressio is that he's a good guitar player that wants to teach, but can't quite pull it off online. And no, I'm not Claude, a family member, a friend of his, or anything else. It's just that I've been ripped of intentionally before, and this doesn't seem like that. Seems like he's trying, but just isn't up to the task. IMHO. Claude... get some professional help with production, write some scripts to follow, dress nicer, record in a real studio, and you might just make it kid.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

To Claude Johnson / Guitar Control customers here on chordie,

We have certainly noticed your negative feedback. We will only want nothing but 100% satisfied customers and as Claude mentioned, we'd be happy to give you a refund if you are not satisfied with the products.

How can we make you guys happy? Is there anything we can do to turn you into satisfied customers? We'd be willing to bend over backward for any of you who had negative experiences with us.

Please send us admin@guitarcontrol.com or you can email me mae@guitarcontrol.com and I'd personally make sure that our team can get back to you. We also have a customer support #(610)-879-7433. We'll be happy to address your concerns.

I have subscribed to this topic and will be awaiting replies from you on this.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

One thing that would have made me happy is to have had my shipping costs refunded as well!($25) When I first ordered this product there was only about three dvd's to buy from claude, beginner guitar, advanced guitar, and acoustic mastery I believe. Now there's about 20 or so more dvd's, now if this isn't a money making scam I don't know what is. You should focus on one GREAT product, not twenty sucky ones. Maybe a beginner who has no knowledge at all of what someone should be teaching you would think it was a great learning tool. To a beginner learning 3 chords and a lick or two is the coolest thing in the world. If your planning to buy from claude, do some research and read the reviews. You can learn more from the internet for free. As for sending them an email or calling customer support, Good luck!! ONce someone has a bad experience with someone it stays with you, so treat your customers well!

Rest assured your feedback has been documented and it is much appreciated. We have been constantly improving our service to cater to thousands of customers around the world and only a handful of them get back with bad feedback thus, we'd be willing to help you out in any way even if it's too late.

If you could email me your information maybe we can return that $25 to you or offer you something else. Let me know if that works and send me an email.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I bought guitar control in March of this year, 09 and many of the complaints I have seen here are sadly familiar to me as well.
I got the first dvd's,  yet because of the "extras" advertised were not at all as described, I only opened one of the dvd discs. I began politely writing letters, asking where these extras were, and would get either no reply, or it would take a week. The response I kept getting over and over would NOT address my issue's. So I kept writing......about 30 or more emails and 4 months of frustration, I still am waiting for a refund.
Many of the links to jamtracks were dead, and it is advertised that artists like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, B.B. King were "decoded".....what I finally did find after many emails was not decoding, in fact there was nothing! After asking time and time again, cutting and pasting the ads claims and mailing them to guitarcontrol,  they offered me a "deal"....So I thought I'd take them up on that.....I should have stayed with my refund quest. I STILL was leary, thus hadn't opened any more then one dvd. I got a look at how claude taught the licks in songs, the first by aerosmith, then the Allman brothers. The lesson were so non professional, so incomplete my mouth dropped open! The first lick of the Aerosmith song, plus one other key lick was shown, and then he moved on! Being a acoustic guitarist for many years, yet wanting to expand into lead playing left me thinking I could have done better!
Claude is a good player, I never thought otherwise, but he is NOT a good teacher, at least in this format. SO I asked for a refund for my order, sent back the "deal dvd's"...( again not opened!) And at my expense. I waited, and waited, till finally what once were polite letters sent from me began to reflect my frustration, as it is said the squeaky wheel gets the grease and sadly the only way to get any response was to squeaky LOUDLY with yet MORE emails.
Finally I got a letter saying that the returned, never opened dvds were in bad shape and Not fit to resell!!! I had NOT opened them! So they came to me in bad shape I suppose. Then the "no questions asked" promise was broken as I was asked "Why in the world would you even want a refund on the best fingerpicking videos on the planet?"
What about NO QUESTIONS ASKED?
Bottom line, I didn't get what was advertised, and am STILL waiting for a refund they are seemingly trying to avoid giving me.  Is this an Iron Clad Guarantee? NO! This has been months of letters, months of frustration. If some customers got the deal offered, I am happy for them. I on the other hand along with those I see here have gotten cheated. I have contacted my credit card company and plan to use every avenue needed to not only correct what has happened to me, but also to hopefully prevent the same from happening to others in the future.

why not change this subject to be in general chat since it has nothing to do with choride?

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

Well, it is a matter of honesty in my opinion, as bad as my situation is, it was good to find a place where others could relate to this, what I've been through... and a place where those wondering could get some information about other peoples experiance with guitarcontrol.
And when I opened this page, guess who's ad was right at there for me to see? You guessed it,
guitarcontrol.com
I explained what has happened to me, I am done.
Thanks
