I always remember Pete Townsend saying that he could play most of his repatoir when he was 16. If you're good enough you're old enough!
I'm a few months off 40. Still play like a duffer but love every minute.

Thats Right.The age gap is wide and far.An old miner friend of mine died at the age of 92 and played till the end and loved kitchen parties. I bet he's got a guitar with him now. He started at an early age and just never stopped. All I can say is strum for the rest of your life.

I will have experienced 46 years of life this april(24th). People told me when I hit 25 wait until your thirty. My reply was I was very lucky to make 25 everyday after that is a blessing. I'm still being blessed and most of the times I have to look at my license to know my age.

That was pretty much a joke. I'm not a pro, but I know whats right and whats wrong. As for your lil comment about "A Pro at 14...wow" or whatever you said...Look up Sierra Hull, Ryan Holladay or The Cottars. All VERY fine musicians under the age of 14. Sierra Hull is 13 and one of the finest mandolin and guitar players I have heard in my life. Check out these 2 videos;

<a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=Evo6fb9sc7U" target="_blank">http://youtube.com/watch?v=Evo6fb9sc7U</a>
You Have to watch the whole first video before you see her get into the flatpicking, it's insane
Any more questions or remarks? I would be happy to address them

I'm 47 but I inside I feel 17. My 19 year old son says I'm more like 74 !
I remember the 60's & 70's. The 80's was a great decade. I knew I was getting old when the music from 90's onwards all sounded the same.

Well I am 51 years young and started with music when I was 17 years. Have a lot of guitars, but never got the time to play. Since I had to stop working after a horrible car crash, I am so happy to have all those guitars, I just like to play in a group, because you need at least a good rythmsection, for me the most important thing.
