Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

ok fair enough stormy.
I only said what I did because I know claudy has not advertised in here for a while and I thought your complaint was a new one, as in just been conned.

It is good for these forums to highlight the conmen, or the not so good folk that seem to rip folk off. ( not that I am saying claude has as I have no personal experience with him)_

I just keep seeing more getting added to this now and then when i think it is an old thread.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

Let me tell you something about claude the fraud!!!!!!!!!!! someone by the name of maec told me via this thread that what could they do to make my claude experience better! And I told them that If they returned my shipping cost(25 dollars) then I would be somewhat satisfied!!! Well This maec send me an email saying they personnaly would send my 25 dollar request to those people who handle the refunds!!!! well I guess she or he thought that this thread would eventually die!!!!!!!! I was gonna write a good review if they gave me my shipping costs back, wich is the least they could do  with all the hassle I also had to go through. I have yet to recieve any feed back from (maec) that is the reason I have not said anything good about claude the fraud!!!!!!! I thought they were serious about handling bad relations they have had with unsatisfied customers!!!!! As far as I'm concerned they can keep my 25 dollar shipping charges and as long as this thread continues which I know it will I will tell new people who get ripped off by claude the fraud!!!!!!!! Tell other people of your bad experience with these money hungry people!!!!! Guitar is an art form not a money making franchise!! People on chordie deserve better than this!!! Stormside I know where your'e coming from I was there trying to get my money back. It's a long and hard process, just tell everyone you know not to go with claude. It's a fraud!!!!!!!! You should have tried a little harder to help me (maec) I told you I would write a good report if you guys at least tried to refund my shipping charges but OH WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCKS TO BE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kilt where have you been, everytime I open up chordie mister underdressed is right on the centerfold(front page). Why hasn't this person not been removed! If you have a legitamate guitar site like jamplay why would you need this bullpucky  on the front page of your site, I think chordie is in enough dire straights without adding this Claude Johnson crap to it! I love chordie and my guitar learning would be in jeopardy without it!! Everyday that I log into chordie is something I learn new!!! I learned more from one day of finding chordie than in what I learned from the whole cd of claude! Then he tells you to go on to the internet to learn more about guitar! DUHHHHH!!!! WHat is your cd good for then !!!!

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

my mistake,
looks like he is still advertising.

oh well, looks like this thread is still rellevant after all.
As far as I knew he was permitted to advertise as a few here were saying they got ripped off.

I would suggest you all take this up with Per.

This is Google AdSense ads - bought indirectly. I have blocked ads from guitarchordsmadesimple. I do not want this guy advertising on my site. If anyone knows other domains he operates, tell me, and I will block them instead.

I will however strongly recommend the JamPlay course advertised on the front page. It might not be the cheapest course out there, but it is by far the best I have ever come across. And they are sponsoring Chordie.

Bravo, Bravo!  Glad to see Claude "The Fraud" Johnson has been shut down here on Chordie.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I read this entire post. I had been thinking I might order from Claude for my kid, I did notice his post, I also get plenty of spam, which after thinking about it, he is in this to make money, can't fault him for that. But one main thing I understand is practice practice practice. So that is what I tell my kid. I am one of those who has played for 20 years and still suck. :< But that is all due to NOT practice practice practice. If we all stick to those 3 words, we'll all be able to make videos for sale.
I have to say I am glad you guys are here and guys like Claude are there. But there is no magic way of learning guitar. But my advice would be study music of all styles and don't forget to practice.

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

lmao

Im sure  glad i read into this, cus i was gonna buy this guys  stuff..    After seeing this and also seeing a little  of his you tube liek clips with a dirty ass doorr in the background.    Its one thing if your just posting something  for free on youtube and that,  but KNOWING you are emabarking on a business, a livelyhood if you will, and not have the  wherewithall to  present yourself as a "businessman" instead of a guy who just got out of bed, with no "real" job..   Its obvious  this guy has no concern on his image..   I can tell by his surroudning he cares nothing about presentation so i can deduct he carries the same concern  for the material he is presenting to you..
anyone with half a brain would know to clean the grime off the door or shoot in another area..  then seeing his pathetic post on  his wife leaving him years ago and his girl friend offing herself, he mentioned we could cheer him up if we buy his stuff..    It DOES pay dividends to research a little b4 you go buying some jag-offs junk..   It stands tru..  A fool and his money are soon parted..    Ill admit  I never  tried his stuff and im no guitar god,  but i can say with  confidence  THIS guy Claude,  is NOT  either..
the only guy in here saying anything positive is a guy with 1 post under his belt.. lmao   looks like  claude made another account.    I saw one of his buddies mention somethign about suing for libel cus some guy complained he felt he got ripped off..  by the looks of your place there claude the fraud,  I think you too might not be able to afford the cost of court either..

can anyone in here shed some light on where i should look to get a great value  for my money in learning how to play guitar?

Hi E5C4P377
Complaints about Claude Johnson certainly seem to be mounting up...

The Chordie website recommends "Jamplay" for online lessons on all aspects of guitar playing.
Please check out the "Jamplay" forum on Chordie and also the free samples that are available via the links..
Welcome to Chordie

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

Claude's stuff is total crap, in my opinion, based on what I've seen.

He can't play in time, tries to cover it up with lots of distortion, couldn't tell a chord from a bag of potatoe <sic> chips, and just generally appears to have no clue what he's doing.

After this pathetic e-mail http://happyendingseries.blogspot.com/2 … hnson.html

I kind of feel sorry for him in an "Oh my God, to what depths you are willing to go" sort of way.

Whatever,

S

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

This topic should be renamed " lets pick on Claude"

OK so he is a cheat and by the looks of things not popular at all but folks remember this SECTION in CHORDIE is "ABOUT CHORDIE" not ABOUT CLAUDE

I tihnk with the amount of posts here on this everyone gets the message about Claude.

Do folk just come into chordie's forum to talk about how crap Claude has been to them?

I should just stop reading this thread actually instead of moaning about it.

Well, it's good that this is getting out and about before others get sucked into the scam.  I'm lucky that I have a private teacher and chordie to refer to.   Otherwise I would have been another sucker for this  "travelling medicine show".

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I actually got linked here from google when I was first looking for this guy, to try and get my refund back. When I saw others getting ripped I just had to vent. I just come back once and a while to see if anyone needs some help or just to talk cuz claude won't talk to you. I don't think people come here just to waist their time talking about claude they are just seeking some answers!!! I also think this thread doen't belong here on about chordie and maybe someone should move it to an according place because from all the advertising that guy does, there is going to be alot more people using this thread.

Agreed, Chordie should just put up an area denying/warning about all connections with him or Just let people learn for themselves the hard way.  Word of mouth is quite an effective tool to weed out the crap.

Strangest part to me is if 'thousands of people' bought it,
why hasn't the advertising gotten better?

This story is being told over and over again across the net
but where are the thousands of satisfied customers?

Re: Anybody else cheated by Claude Johnson ?

I looked at the a"lessons" in "the ULTIMATE beginner guitar lessons"

they suck.  it is him with one light pointed at hm from the camera. WTF?  you can not see any of the fingerings...

the tab pictures on the video are only there for a cpl of seconds. WHY? so we can see your stupid timid face?

Get your stuff together mr guitar teacher. If you want to sell lessons.

To the Person who got ripped off.  You are better off filing a complaint with your credit card company and get your money back that way.

and screw these lessons.

they are the worst lessons video wise I have seen. EVER>

you can watch YOUTUBE and get better lesssons for free.

IF you want real professional guitar lesssons, which one person took for one year and later became a member of Judas Priest the metal band.

GO to metalmethod    Doug Marks is a great teacher. AND HE HAS LIGHTS. LOTS OF THEM. AND KNOWS HOW TO TEACH with

confidence.   THIS person has no confidence at all and it shows so clearly.. Is he even in a band?

Really. buy the Mel Bay books videos. Metal Method or something like it

or just use you tube and get a real person to come over and teach you also.

go to the ultimate-guitartab.  cxom  It is the best place for tab.

but there are lots.

learn about the peer to peer and torrents.

Just in case you want some free instruction, there is a podcast on i-tunes called "learning guitar now"  free for download.  It's not terrible, and the price is right.
