Re: PHOTOS OF MEMBERS

My goodness Wayne, that's an oldie!  smile  My husband talks about Sturgis a LOT from his younger days.  He says it's far better than any bike week in the south east.  He was stationed in California and rode to Sturgis with a pretty bad group one year that tried pretty hard to get him to join up.  He never did join a group... myself... I've never even sat on a bike let alone one that was moving!  I expect once the kids get a bit bigger he'll get his bike going that's been sitting in the garage for a bit and we'll be taking some type of trip towards the west!  Your more current pic shows how much you appreciate comfort... that looks like the type of bike for me! smile

Re: PHOTOS OF MEMBERS

I been thinkin alot about Kenny lately, we were good friends smile  We lost him to pancreatic cancer about 7 yrs ago. Everytime I do a gig I get emotional and think about him alot. He come home and spent some time with me before he died. I played him some John Prine and Steve Goodman songs and it really pleased him.
I played the song the " Dutchman" by Steve Goodman at my daughter's wedding shower and was cruising along through the first verse and chorus great, got to the second verse and my voice was quivering and by the third I was in trouble. It was really weird it was like a huge wave hit me with emotions, I had to excuse myself and went outside to compose myself.

I have 2 friends that have passed on and really liked all the old music I play and it is tough not to think about them when playing I am gonna have to try thinkin of them while practicing and see if I can channel it into some positive vibes.

Later, Wayne P
