could you please tell me what a triad is and do i have to use them in my learning curve.

At it's simplest, it's a three note chord.    When you hear of things like "major" and "minor,"  those are usually inferred to be triads, made up of the 1st, 3rd, and 5th of their associated scale.

So yeah, they're kinda important.  smile
