This is a collection of songs I've played over the years. I've gathered them here because one of the things about playing the guitar is that eventually you forget which songs you know how to play them. Then one day you here a song and say "Man, I know how to play that", then you sit down and can't remember how. I've gone through some of the tunes here and corrected (matter of opinion) them. The way some of them are shown here, is not at all like I play them, as I get more time I'll get around to changing them too. The dupications are there because I play a version that is a combo of the two. If you're struggling trying to play the guitar then my advice to you is to just relax, practice everyday and play stuff you love! I'm not shit-hot player but I sure have a lot fun playing.

The first 7 songs I learned, each song adds one new chord to your arsenal so you can learn a new chord and have a song to go with it. I worked on these it in this order: Leaving on a Jet Plane, Tom Dooley, Cats in the Cradle, You are my Sunshine, Amazing Grace, Blowin' in the wind, Our God (you could hold off on Blowin' in the wind till the end, it's tricky but a fun one to practice faster changes!) Don't stress about strumming patterns, just have fun!
Daniel Thomas, Bob Dylan, Ugly Kid Joe, John Denver, Hillsong, Misc. Traditional and Traditional
I tell people I've only been playing a few weeks. They don't believe me! Despite that I still consider myself very much a beginner. This is my selection of songs I'm learning and hopefully one day will master. Many of them come from an online tutor I'm using called JustinGuitar.com. If you're just starting out as I am, check him out as I think he is an excellent online tutor.
Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, Oasis, Tom Petty and Led Zeppelin
Ukes4Fun Songbook - pdf versions in a better format can be found here: Http://ukes4fun.org.uk/songsheets/ The songs have been grouped in books around the members who regularly lead the singing. There is no other deliberate theming and the contents are quite varied. The songs are as we play and sing them - though they all bear at least a passing resemblance to the originals and should be recognisable. The level of difficulty also varies within each book. There are probably some mistakes as well.
