Britny Fox

"Britny Fox" is a glam metal band from the Philadelphia area, featuring singer "Dizzy" Dean Davidson, guitarist Michael Kelly Smith, bassist "Wild" Billy Childs, and drummer Johnny Dee. They are best known for their music video "Girlschool" and their Billboard Hot 100 hit "Long Way to Love (#100)". Britny Fox's self-titled debut was one of the most successful premieres of the 1988-89 season, selling about one million copies and bringing more than 625,000 fans to their 130+ shows. They also won Metal Edge Magazine's 1988 Reader's Choice Award for Best New Band. After the release of their second album ''Boys In Heat'' (1989), original frontman Davidson left the group. He was replaced by Las Vagas native Tommy Paris, who remains in the band to this day. Guitarist Zakk Wylde and Poison drummer Rikki Rockett guested on their third album ''Bite Down Hard'' (1991).

Britny Fox are still releasing records, their latest being ''Springhead Motorshark'' in 2003. Britny Fox guitarist Michael Kelly Smith (also known as Michael Schermick) was also in an early version of Cinderella. The late drummer Tony Destra also played in both Cinderella and Britny Fox.
