Fabolous (born John Jackson on November 18 1977 1 in Brooklyn, New York) is a rapper of African-American and Dominican descent from Brooklyn who became a mainstream star after his debut single "Can't Deny It" from 2001 (see 2001 in music). Since then, he has gained popularity in the rap community for his mellow flow, crossover sensibilities, complex rhyme schemes, intricate lyrics, and witty punchlines. "Can't Deny It" and Ghetto Fabolous became crossover hits. The follow-up, Street Dreams, produced two top 10 pop hits in "Can't Let You Go" and "Into You". Fabolous's 3rd album, Real Talk, was released in 2004.
