Gary Jules (born in March of 1969 in Fresno, California as Gary Jules Aguirre) is an American singer. His parents are Gary Aguirre, former SEC investigating attorney who, after being fired in September, 2005, on June 28, 2006 testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee 12 and Marie Aguirre, avid tennis fan and grandmother of Eloise and Gus. He attended The Bishop's School in La Jolla, California, and later went on to get a B.A. in English at UCLA3.
Jules, together with friend Michael Andrews, recorded a remake of Tears for Fears' debut single "Mad World" for the movie Donnie Darko.
