Jimmy Wayne

Jimmy Wayne was born in 1972 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He is an American country music singer and songwriter, now living in Nashville, Tennessee.

Wayne signed a contract with DreamWorks Records in Nashville in 2001. Jimmyâs debut album was in June of 2003 and placed a single in the Top 10 before he released his album. One of his songs, Stay Gone, was a Billboard country hit. That was followed by Paper Angels, a narrative of his own life story, and Blue and Brown, which was about an encounter with a foster brother who became an inmate.

Wayne's influences include Hall and Oates, Alan Jackson, Lionel Richie, Ronnie Milsap, Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche and Judas Priest.
