Josh Pyke is an Australian musician, best known for his single "Middle of the Hill" which was voted number 19 in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2005. Pyke signed to Australian indie label Ivy League in 2005 and his first release on the label is a mini-album entitled "Feeding the Wolves". It features the single "Middle of the Hill", as well as second single "Private Education". Originally performing under the moniker "Night Hour", Pyke has recorded with the likes of Wayne Conolly, Matt Lovell and Chris Joannou (of Silverchair fame). Josh toured earlier this year with Jebediah frontman, Bob Evans, aka Kevin Mitchell. He is currently working on his debut album and that should be out by the end of 2006.
Previously Josh Pyke was associated with a band called An Empty Flight. It still had Josh on lead vocals, although the genre was completely different - it had more of a rock feel. You could still feel the drive in Josh's voice, that you still do listening to his more recent works.
