Legend is a New Wave of British Heavy Metal band, formed 1980 in the Channel Islands. The band didn't enjoy the sucsses of other NWOBHM bands such as Iron Maiden or Def Leppard, and their first recordings are poorly produced, though considered classics of their genre and of heavy metal in general. Their unexpected 2003 comeback album was highly acclaimed and is considered to be one of the best metal comeback albums of all time by many criticts.
Legend is known for its sharp and sometimes political lyrics, with song titles such as "Hiroshima" and "Sabra & Chatila". Musically they blend traditional heavy metal with touches of jazz, and with Black Sabbath-influenced riffs in the first album. *Mike Lezala - vocals *Peter Haworth - guitars *Sean Gregory - guitars *Eggy Aubert - bass *Peter Heath - drums = *Marco Morosino - guitars *David Whitley - drums
