Marques Houston

Marques Barrett Houston (born August 4 1981 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, record producer, and R&B singer, best known as lead singer of boy band Immature/IMx and for his role on the hit show Sister, Sister.


Marques Houston was born in Los Angeles to Carolyn & Michael Houston. He started band Immature with his childhood friends, Jerome "Romeo" Jones and Don "Half-Pint" Santos (who was later replaced by Kelton "LDB" Kessee. Chris Stokes became the manager of the group and they scored chart-topping hits on their debut album "On Our Worst Behavior" in 1992. It was released on Virgin Records. This led to other albums including "Playtime Is Over", "We Got It", and "The Journey. In 1997, Marques' mother Carolyn died of cancer. In 1998, The group changed their name to IMx.
