Neva Dinova

"Neva Dinova" is an indie rock band based in Omaha, Nebraska.

Named after Jake Bellows's late grandmother, the band's founders, Bellows and Koontz, formed the band right after high school in 1992. Since then, guitarists Mike Kratky and Tim Haes, and drummer Roger Lewis have joined to serve as Neva Dinova's current line-up. Although they had been around for quite some time, it wasn't until 2002 that the band finally signed to indie label, Crank! Records. Two years later, they also signed onto Sidecho Records.

: Along with being a co-founder of Neva Dinova, Bellows is also the band's main songwriter, lead vocalist, and guitarist. Originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa, he moved to Omaha in the 6th grade where he eventually started writing and performing songs with Heath Koontz. He's known for his sarcastic humor, which is evident in his interviews. His lyrics, on the other hand, tend to convey a sense of tragedy and despair.

: As long time best friends with Jake Bellows, Koontz is the band's bassist, keyboardist, and co-founder.

: Kratky joined the band in 1998 as their second guitarist.

: Haes joined the band as the third guitarist in 1998....
