Nothingface

Nothingface is a four-piece alternative metal/heavy metal music group formed in Washington, D.C. in 1995.

Nothingface originally formed in Washington D.C. in 1995. The band's original line-up consisted of David Gabbard (vocals), Tommy Maxwell (guitar), Chris Houck (drums) and Bill Gaal (bass). They released three demo tapes with this lineup, until Gabbard left the band. At this point Matt Holt took over singing duties. The band then recorded a ten track demo CD, six of which would later feature on their debut album titled, Pacifier, released on February 6, 1997 via DCide Records. It was then re-released on August 11, 1998 via DCide/Mayhem Records.

The band's sophomore album titled, An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity, was released on September 22, 1998 via DCide/Mayhem Records.

Two years later, the band released their third album titled, Violence, on October 10, 2000. It was the band's national debut, released via TVT Records. Chris Houck recorded drums for this album and then left the group, replaced by Tommy Sickles of "Ingredient 17" fame (Matt and Tom's band before Nothingface).
